We kept Penelope back for our breeding program, but just recently got back her genetic testing and discovered that she has blood type B. That means nothing for being a pet, but for a breeder - since my males are all A or AB, her blood antibodies would attack and kill her kittens if they nurse on her. It's do-able, I've done it before, you just have to remove the kittens for 24 hours from her straight after birth, but it creates more stress and work and I'd just rather not having any B blood type Queens in my cattery. So because of this, we are retiring her before she's had a litter. She just turned 1 year old. I do need to update her photos, I'll try to get some new ones up this week. She obviously looks different than her baby photos listed.
